Protest IMF, World Bank, G20 Finance Ministers - Slay the Beast·
By Lacy MacAuley, Nancy DC and Jason McGaugheyGoing (132)
The World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and G20 Finance Ministers are all gathering in Washington DC for a series of secretive meetings on April 18-21. A diverse group of local activists are mobilizing in opposition to this neoliberal three-headed beast. We intend to host workshops to educate about these powerful institutions that bring capitalism, misery, and climate chaos to the rest of the world, as well as hold rallies, marches, and a bike ride to say down with the beast!
We invite you to come throw down in DC! Or to endorse our actions, join us in the streets, or otherwise lend your support.

NO MORE FAILED DEVELOPMENT
Rally for Fair Development in Baltimore!
Saturday April 20, 2013
11am - 1pm
Meet in the parking lot behind 1405 Russell St., Baltimore, MD 21230
We demand Fair Development which produces…
-Good union jobs for Baltimore residents
-Well-funded schools for our children
-Strong communities for everyone
Time and again developers have benefited from public funds, subsidies, and tax incentives. But developers keep breaking the promise of building a better Baltimore.
The Hyatt Regency was constructed with public subsidies on city-owned land. Developer David Cordish pays virtually no rent on his Inner Harbor Power Plant development. Yet both of these developers offer only low-paying temporary and unstable jobs that keep workers in poverty.
Join us for this rally for Fair Development on Saturday, April 20 at 11am!
